littlewolfteeth(I was reading Dune while writing this if you can't tell. :D Sorry, but Cid is bisexual. I don't care what other people think. This is inspired by L'ubor. He looked about the same age as Cid in the game. But the dialogue had me second guessing. So idk. Could be him?)
Everything here is bright and it hurts. Cid tries to shield the brightness of this place with his hand but it barely helps with it at all.
“I’m going to need to find goggles and extra cloth in this place,” Cid mutters to himself. His chocobo nudges his back and warbles in response. There is laughter behind him that catches his attention.
“Cid, you may as well give up the water in your body as a gift to make it safely out of here.”
Cid turns and raises an eyebrow toward the man on the chocobo behind him. This only gets him a smirk in return. The same type of smirk that stirs up conflicted emotions inside him.
“The desert will have to like my blood first,” he responds with a smile in his voice. “Now, instead of complaining about it for all the good it will do me, shall we move along to find this bounty?”
“It would be my pleasure,” the assassin replies with a smile and a twinkle in his eyes this time. He kicks his mount into gear, not even waiting to see if Cid is following.
You lose me in the sands and I’ll have you begging tonight instead.
